Why does’nt North West Indiana politicans get together with Amtrak and have two train’s that leave the Dyer station to down town Chicago. One at 6:30 am and 2nd train at 7:30am. To have less traffic on the roads and easy access to downtown for people that have to work there. Lower the fare cost also. And everybody wins.

I dont know if you saw this but IDOT dropped further workin the EIS for the IL 53 extension in Lake county Illinois (really its th 355 ext)Local opposition IDOT and Wil county Revived 2 projects that realte to Indian -parts of US 50 and Illinois 1
I thought it strange the 53 extension was dropped since the tollway wanted to study it the Illiana to 55 and the prairie parkway. My understanding is that ext to 55 has been crought up because a direct link to 355 is not feasable anymore.
And I do have a COMPROMISE!
