Explosion & Fire Kills Two In East Chicago Apartment
Two people were killed in an explosion and fire in an East Chicago, Indiana apartment building Friday evening, reports the Northwest Indiana Times.
ABC 7 News Chicago reports that a generator being used to power the apartment caused the conflagration. News reports say that three children jumped from the building to escape the carnage. Five other people also escaped from the blaze with the assistance of fire fighters.
