More proof Evan Bayh is Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential choice.

(Hat tip to Fort Wayne Observed).

A poll is out showing that Indiana could go for the Democrats in 2008, especially if Evan Bayh is on the ballot.

Without specific candidates to back, 37 percent said they anticipate voting for the Democratic nominee, compared with 32 percent who anticipate voting for the Republican.

The London Telegraph has named Evan Bayh as one of the Top 10 most influential liberals in American politics, coming in at the tenth position just after Oprah Winfrey.

The newspaper points to the possibility that Evan Bayh might be named as Hillary Clinton’s running mate should she get the Democrats’ nomination for the 2008 presidential election and the party doesn’t veer too far to the left rejecting Bayh’s centrist values.

Now that he has endorsed Mrs Clinton, he is probably in pole position to be her vice-presidential running mate. …

Bill Clinton once said: “I hope and expect some day I’ll be voting for Evan Bayh for President of the United States.”

On the conservative side, a former Northwest Indiana resident, Chief Justice John Roberts came in 8th place in power.

George W. Bush will bequeath his successor a head of the Supreme Court who could be on the bench for the next 30 years, shaping the parameters of American life for the next generation and beyond.
