The Fusion is a visual depiction of life in "The Region" -- Steel mills, immigrants, people seeking better lives for their children and all of the other dreams and aspirations that are so common to human life.

I start this blog with a photo of The Fusion by artist Omri Amrany that was created in celebration of Gary, Indiana's Centennial last year because it succinctly sums up life in Northwest Indiana.
