American Idol’s Top 3 | Syesha Mercado Is In!

The Top 4 results show is on and the American Idol contestants have opened with their rendition of Steely Dan’s Reeling in the Years.
David Archuleta is declared safe — there’s no surprise there since he probably got a significant portion of the 51 million votes that were cast last night — and is offered a safe seat on the couch.
The AI “Fab 4″ — David Archuleta, David Cook, Syesha Mercado, and Jason Castro take a VIP trip on a private jet to visit Las Vegas’ Mirage hotel and attend the Cirque du Soleil — The Beatles Love Show.
David Cook takes the stage to learn if he has made it through to the Top 3. We know he’ll make it through. And, Ryan Seacrest gives the official word — David Cook is in the American Idol Top 3.

Viewers are calling in to speak with the American Idols. Emily asks David Cook for a date. I think he is frightened. Sarah — from Bloomington, Indiana — calls in and asks about the biggest challenge the Idols have overcomed. Jason Castro says his brain is dead — we saw that last night when he forgot lyrics. Allison asks why Simon hasn’t been knighted by the Queen of England. A caller asks Syesha what she thinks about being the only woman in the Top 4. Teresa asks if the artists have received any feed back from the artists whose work they have sang. David Cook responds that he has. A caller suggests that Simon could be the next James Bond. Simon says he is available.
Maroon 5 is on the American Idol stage. There’s a connection there with the Mirage. I first heard Maroon 5 in the elevator at TI (Treasure Island) in Vegas a couple of years ago. Maroon 5 isn’t bad, but the band isn’t anything too exciting — it would have been better to have Pete Townshend come out and break a guitar as a nod to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Bo Bice is coming out after the commercial.
While the commercials play — there’s a new Indiana Jones coming out — that might be pretty cool to watch — I thought I’d point out Ricky’s Syesha Mercado Fan Club and the Syesha Fanisha Fan Club. We’ve got to make sure that Syesha Mercado stays on American Idol a little longer. Think about it — do you want to see and hear David Archuleta every day for the next year or would you rather hear and see the ever improving and growing Syesha Mercado who has been getting better every time she appears on stage? I know you want to see sexy Syesha.
Bo Bice plays Witness — a southern rock song that reminds me a little of the Black Crowes. I’m feeling the need to listen to the Black Crowes sing Jealous Again after listening to a little bit of Bo Bice’s music.

Jason Castro gets ready to sing his final song on American Idol. We liked you Jason Castro, but we really wanted Syesha Mercado to keep going this season.

I do believe that Syesha Mercado has transformed right before our eyes. Syesha’s looking extremely hot and sounding great as she sings Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.”

Keep Syesha Mercado in for another week everyone who intends on voting in American Idol’s competition this week.
Randy doesn’t love the song as much this week. He doesn’t like Syesha Mercado’s arrangement of the Sam Cooke classic.
Paula says says “beautiful.” “You are magnificent.” Syesha’s crying now.
Simon says that he agrees with Paula and says that he thinks that Randy got it wrong.
You’ve got to love Syesha Mercado.
