I have to admit that I’m a social networking addict. They say that’s the first step toward getting help.
I play games on Facebook (although not as much as I used to when I first joined Facebook) and post to the walls of my extended family near and far.
I monitor Twitter and go to #NWITweepup gatherings. I try to add #NWI people as I find them. I ask people for their Twitter names, if I know they like to Tweet. I try to retweet great content to share it with other people.
I blog and have gotten fired up after a hiatus.
Fortunately, social networking has affected my life positively.
People can find me on Google and other search engines — a positive because it helps bring in new clients. I keep up with family members I might have only spoken with a couple of times a year — if I was fortunately enough to get back to the extended family’s hometown for Christmas or Thanksgiving. I have more contacts in the community — I can reach out for information on a wide-range of subjects from information technology to mortgages to printing to marketing and the list goes on and on.
My use of social networking isn’t really an addiction.
It’s just a good use of the tools provided by the internet to make connections in the community and across the world for friendship and for the betterment of everyone’s businesses.

My Google Search Story

Finding inspiration in Kristin Page’s post about Google Search Stories (and being a sucker for Kristin’s dare), I decided to make my own using keywords associated with my name and what I do.
The result is below.
Enjoy!
