Robbie Carrico gets the American Idol axe.

Simon says that the people saw what the judges saw — Robbie Carrico wasn’t authentic. Of course, Robbie and Simon had sparred about that topic on Tuesday’s show.

Robbie Carrico for his part said that losing the vote was probably because of his song selections.

I never really got into Robbie Carrico, so I can’t say I’m sorry to see him leaving the show, but wish him lots of luck in the future.

America would be surprised to know that Robbie Carrico drives drag racing cars.

Robbie Carrico sings “Hot Blooded” by Foreigner. (The band isn’t doing it for me — Robbie is singing fine, but the band sounds pretty generic.)

Randy says: I do not know if the rock thing is you. “I think you did a pretty good job with it.” “It did not quite go there with me.” Randy wanted Robbie to punch it with his performance.

Paula says: “How does anyone know who you are, but you?” Paula was referring to Simon’s earlier contention that Robbie wasn’t being himself.

Simon says: “I thought the vocal was okay tonight.”
