Jesus Came To The Statehouse …

State Senator Dennis Kruse said a prayer at the statehouse and ended it by saying he was praying in the name of Jesus.

This has caused some to become enraged. (Warning — extreme language).

I don’t understand what the big deal is. If someone had said a prayer to Allah, or to G-d, or to Gia, or Mother Nature, or to the Dali Lama, or to money, or some sports hero, or to their favorite political contributor, or even to Word Press, it wouldn’t really bother me.

I say celebrate diversity in all forms, including tolerance and understanding of people who hold religious beliefs that might not be the same as yours.

Be secure in your own beliefs and those holding diverse opinions and foreign beliefs won’t be so threatening.
