Indy’s alternative paper implores Barack Obama to not pick Evan Bayh as his running mate.
NUVO says that Bayh will embarrass Indiana and is a “do-nothing senator.”
Writes Steve Hammer:
Bayh is like John Edwards without the charisma. And since Edwards pretty much lacks any charisma, that’s quite an insult. Bayh is like John Kerry without Kerry’s comedic skills.
He’s like George Bush without any of Bush’s credibility, charm and sweetness or Ted Kennedy without the driving skills.
Ouch!

Obama & Bayh Come To Portage

Barack Obama and Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh — Obama’s potential running mate? — grabbed some hamburgers from Portage’s Schoops yesterday.
While Obama was ordering his lunch, he remained silent — but give a smile — when asked what his “vice president” was ordering. Is that a sign that Evan Bayh is his choice? Only time will tell.
One good thing — it’s always nice for Northwest Indiana to get some attention from presidential candidates.
