David Archuleta | Longer

David Archuleta is singing Dan Fogelberg‘s “Longer” and I’m flashing back to the 1970s because he’s doing a good job bringing back the memories of the good old days of when I was in elementary school and most music was listened to on the hi-fi using vinyl records.
The crowd is going crazy for David Archuleta.
Randy says “You could sing the phone book … hot, hot, hot.”
Paula says “very lovely.”
Simon says he thinks David Archuleta sang that song very well but says the song is too “gooey” and “something you choose for a 90-year-old.” But, Simon predicts David Archuleta will make it to the finals.

David Archuleta hits the American Idol stage singing Chris Brown‘s “With You.”
I’m going to go against conventional wisdom and say that while the young girls are going to love David Archuleta, this performance isn’t going to get high marks from the judges. I could be wrong, but it’s not doing anything for me.
Randy says he likes the idea that David Archuleta took a chance in singing something younger, but it wasn’t David Archuleta‘s song because it is disconcerting to hear David Archuleta sing about his “boo.”
Paula like it as always.
Simon says “It was a little like a chihuahua trying to be a tiger.” It wasn’t David Archuleta.
