Tonight was the American Idol results show and the results were to be predicted — as much as I pushed for Syesha Mercado, I knew that she was going against tough competition when millions of young women were voting multiple times for David Cook and David Archuleta.

Now the competition really begins — will David Cook win? Or, will the next American Idol be David Archuleta?

TMZ reports that David Archuleta‘s dad has been banned from going backstage. TMZ also writes that David Archuleta’s dad was giving AI’s producer the evil eye last night.
