Chikeze | She’s A Woman | American Idol 7
Filed Under American Idol, Chikeze Eze, Chikezie | Comments Off
Chikeze talks about working airport security — he was TSA — at LAX before winning his chance to perform on American Idol.
Chikeze takes a chance with his own version of the Beatle’s “She’s A Woman.”
I like it — I’m going to have to listen to the original later on so that I can compare it to Chikeze’s arrangement.
The crowd is cheering loudly — it might be a good night for Chikeze.
Randy: “I was throughly entertained. … I loved the arrangement. … Chikeze smashed it!”
Paula: “I knew when you hit the Top 12 this was going to happen.” Paula says the risk paid off.
Simon: “I’m really surprised I have to agree with these two. … What I loved about it … is that unlike the first singer, you have actually changed in a week. You took control of the stage … I thought you were terrific.”

Chikezie | All The Woman I Need

Chikezie sings Luther Vandross’ “All The Woman I Need.”
It’s great to have a good R&B singer on American Idol this year. I’m getting into Chikezie’s singing style.
Randy: Interesting song choice. You did a good job of it. I thought it was really good. Tough song choice.
Paula: Your personality … you switched it up on me. Your vocals sounded good tonight.
Simon: You were okay in bits. I thought it was more cabaret. I don’t think it was a very smart move, personally.
