Give David Archuleta American Idol Title Now?

I read a recent article about this year’s American Idol 7 and it mentioned the thought that many Idol observers have had ever since the show narrowed down the contestants to the Top 24: David Archuleta will be the next American Idol. David Archuleta consistently is predicted to be safe by Dial Idol.

However, having been one American Idol observer who has put my bets on several contestants who haven’t made it through the various cuts over the last couple of months — I was rooting for cuties Amy Davis, Asia’h Epperson, and Ramiele Malubay — it’s always safe to assume that we can’t always tell what will happen on American Idol. If we knew right away who would win this year’s American Idol title, it wouldn’t be any fun to watch the show, would it?

Some are taking this position by placing their hopes on Carly Smithson — she hasn’t connected with me yet — while others are wishing on the stars for crowd pleaser David Cook and beautiful but real Brooke White. I’d be happy with either David Cook or Brooke White winning.

Writes Ken Barnes in “‘American Idol’ picks finalists, and they’re a diverse dozen“:

One school of Idol thought holds that we could skip the whole three-month ritual of the finals and just mail teen heartthrob David Archuleta the American Idol crown right now.

Another school says hold on now, Carly Smithson is the best female pop singer the show’s uncovered since Kelly Clarkson, so don’t count her out.

NWI’s Amy Davis Is Going Home

Northwest Indiana’s Amy Davis is going home after singing “Where The Boys Are.”

Paula tells Amy that she’s beautiful and has a great platform with the exposure to millions of people.

Let’s hope that Amy Davis does well in her future gigs and makes it big one of these days.

Just like Garrett, Dialidol predicted Amy would be going home.

There might not be any surprises tonight.

Amy Davis says she slowed down “Me and Bobby McGee” to make it more her style.

Amy wasn’t confident and wondered how they were going to pick her for American Idol. “It’s like hundreds of Christmases,” being on American Idol.

Amy Davis sings “Where the boys are.”

Randy says: “I didn’t think it was great.” “There was a lot of pitch problems there.”

Paula says: “The camera loves you.” “I feel the nerves got a little bit of you.” “I felt like it was a little lackluster.”

Simon says: “It was what it was.” Boring song. “Incredibly cabaret.” “I don’t think it was you at all.” Simon says Amy is going to struggle after her performance.

Tonight’s the night to cast that important vote that will make all the difference and bring about the right change.

I’m talking about voting for Northwest Indiana’s own American Idol Amy Davis. (The odds are 21/4 according to one site that the next American Idol will be from Indiana).

Of course, in this contest, you can vote multiple times, so make sure to cast your ballot often for our favorite Idol Amy Davis.

Katherine Mcphee’s got nothing on Amy Davis. She is by far the most beautiful female contestant ever on American Idol. I stop watching the show if she gets eliminated.
