The Good Old Days Weren’t Necessarily Better

While we’re thinking back to the good old days — it seems like we could be blasting back to the 1970s economically if we aren’t careful — lets take a ride back in time to see what it was like for people living in the 1950s when the world was dominated not by random violence perpetrated by individuals and shadowy cells bent on wiping out the infidels but by nation states armed with nuclear weapons ready to launch at a seconds’ notice.

Despite all of the complaining we all like to do, we’re a lot better off today than we were even 20 years ago.
