Blogging is gaining a toehold in Northwest Indiana — check out Northwest Indiana Blogs for the ever growing list of bloggers from the area.
Northwest Indiana has traditionally been a “blue” area and Gary, Indiana has been called the second most liberal area in the country.
For a relatively highly populated area, there aren’t a lot of progressive or liberal bloggers in the mix. The only blog that stands out at this time is South Shore Progressive and it hasn’t been updated since early in December 2007.
I’m surprised there aren’t more liberal bloggers in Northwest Indiana.
For me, I’m glad there is less liberal chatter, over here in Porter County we have conservatives and anti-growth do nothings. The conservatives have tended to be more progressive but stayed away from the Lake County style fraud. The do nothings collect from both political persuasions and basically they are so scared of Gary that they spend every moment trying to seal the border with Lake county

Hi Steve,
Since the liberals are in the majority in Lake County, I wonder if there is less desire/need to create a blog to express an opinion since it is already the mainstream viewpoint?
You’re doing a good job finding NWI Blogs with your Blogger site. It’s always great to see new bloggers out there.
Now all we need to do is get people to post regularly since that is the key to growth.
