Michelle & Sasha Obama

I’m watching the biographical video of Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention while surfing the web and came across a picture of Michelle Obama and Sasha Obama on the stage in Denver. It’s a nice picture of Michelle Obama and her daughter, Sasha, so I figured I’d share it with everyone.
I never did get a chance to see Barack Obama when he was in Northwest Indiana, but I did get to attend Michelle Obama‘s speech at Merrillville Intermediate School. It’s always interesting to watch people from Chicago enter into the national spotlight.
Even if you don’t agree with Michelle and Barack Obama‘s politics, you have to admit that they have a nice family.

Miss Sister 2008 — Nun Only Beauty Contest

An Italian priest plans to run a blog-based beauty contest for nuns called Miss Sister 2008, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. Other sources call the competition Sister Italia.
The father setting up the nuns only beauty competition expects that some beauties will apply — especially from Africa and Latin America.
Antonio Rungi — the priest writing the Miss Sister 2008 blog — makes a point of mentioning Brazilian nuns!
Says Father Antonio Rungi in the Times Online UK: “‘Do you really think nuns are all wizened, funereal old ladies? Today it’s not like that any more, thanks to an injection of youth and vitality brought to our country by foreign girls.’ He said there were nuns from Africa and Latin America who were ‘really very, very pretty. The Brazilian girls above all.’”
Is a nun beauty contest a good or bad thing?
