Michelle & Sasha Obama
I’m watching the biographical video of Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention while surfing the web and came across a picture of Michelle Obama and Sasha Obama on the stage in Denver. It’s a nice picture of Michelle Obama and her daughter, Sasha, so I figured I’d share it with everyone.
I never did get a chance to see Barack Obama when he was in Northwest Indiana, but I did get to attend Michelle Obama’s speech at Merrillville Intermediate School. It’s always interesting to watch people from Chicago enter into the national spotlight.
Even if you don’t agree with Michelle and Barack Obama’s politics, you have to admit that they have a nice family.

Oh my goodness… She is way too cute and she already knows just how to work the crowd!
How many votes do you reckon that was worth?
LOL…

Hi Traci,
The kids did a great job by being kids when they were on stage at the convention. I’m sure they did win over some people — if not for votes — just for the nice family aspect of the moment.
I saw Michelle Obama speak in Merrillville earlier this year and she does a good job speaking to her audience. When she was here, she spoke about riding on the Skyway and how visiting NW Indiana was exciting because it was a change from her southside neighborhood.
People always like those kinds of stories that make connections to their lives.
It will be interesting to see if the GOP is able to make the same sorts of connections to the undecided voters.
