Indy’s alternative paper implores Barack Obama to not pick Evan Bayh as his running mate.

NUVO says that Bayh will embarrass Indiana and is a “do-nothing senator.”

Writes Steve Hammer:

Bayh is like John Edwards without the charisma. And since Edwards pretty much lacks any charisma, that’s quite an insult. Bayh is like John Kerry without Kerry’s comedic skills.
He’s like George Bush without any of Bush’s credibility, charm and sweetness or Ted Kennedy without the driving skills.

Ouch!

After the news finally broke today about John Edwards and his affair, and possible love child, I was going to write a post comparing Evan Bayh and John Edwards too.

Looks like i missed the chance.

I hope Barack chooses Evan Bayh. We could get more notice and advertising dollars in Indiana. If Barack were to win, then we get a new senator. If Barack were to lose, we get an injured senator.

Steve Hammer is not persuasive. Maybe he should try to make a case for his point of view instead of “saying it so makes it so”. What a chump.

      Hi Steve,

It was a coincidence, but it worked out pretty well that Evan Bayh was compared to John Edwards today.

I was listening to the radio and they cut in on programming to announcing the news about John Edwards like they would a nuclear war or some other disaster. I was a little afraid something bad happened at the Olympics — there are some scary groups out in western China.

If he was still running, it’d be news, but Edwards is pretty much out of it now. It’s too bad that story didn’t just fade away because it does nobody any good to hear it.

      Hi Justin,

Thank for stopping by and sharing your opinion. Is there a case to be made against Bayh? Or, is Hammer just trying to get some attention for Nuvo?

I’m with Steve that I’d be a good thing for Indiana to have Evan Bayh on the ticket. The state would get some good publicity and Bayh wouldn’t be hurt politically if Barack Obama lost. It might get his name out there so that he can run for President one of these days.

Don’t pick him. Pick Dodd, Biden or Richardson (PICK RICHARDSON, DAMN IT!)

    6. Daltonsbriefs on August 13th, 2008 4:24 pm

I hope he doesn’t choose Richardson, he’d win!

I saw where Obama is going to text message anyone who wants to know as soon as the selection is made. One journalist suggested that Obama also Twitter everyone to let them know when the VP is chosen.

Pick Joe Biben. Pick a choice that will help, not explode in your face. (Think Edwards)
