JLT is Emily’s List Choice
Filed Under Dennie Oxley II, Jill Long Thompson
Democratic candidate for Indiana governor Jill Long Thompson is Emily’s List’s pick for November 2008.
Don’t be fooled when all of the talk is about Jill Long Thompson’s Lt. Gov. pick Dennie Oxley II holding the opposite position this November. Sure, Dennie Oxley II holds conservative Democratic positions, but will he be able to resist the temptation of all of that cold hard cash that flows to those who recant their conservatism and join in with the hegemony that controls the Democratic party.
Many others, including Bill Clinton and Al Gore were unable to resist all of those riches that came when they dropped their “core beliefs” and fell in line with the Democratic Party’s worldview.

You seem to be taking a pretty strong position for the fall elections Chris. Good to see.
I have to agree that JLT and her recent statewide search for someone to join her on the ticket are pretty weak. And in your other post today, regarding Linda Pence, she’s a mess and bad for the whole state.
Although I was hoping to see my pal Jon Costas get the statewide nod, Greg Zoeller will definitely be a better choice for the criminal politicians in Lake County and routing our corruption. I only wish the Lake County Republicans would stand together for something and start winning back some control.
Hi Steve,
I don’t worry that JLT — Jill Long Thompson — will win the election.
I have a feeling that Mitch Daniels — despite some people’s griping about the Toll Road lease — has won over lots of people in the state, including union members.
Mitch Daniels has also done a good job reaching out to Lake County and Northwest Indiana in general — will Jill Long Thompson do the same when it is guaranteed that Lake County will go Democrat no matter what?
There will be some people who will be fooled into voting for JLT thinking that she’s conservative because she picked a conservative running mate who will forced into following her lead when it comes time to making any decisions. IF she’s getting endorsements from Emily’s List, people should know about it so they can make their choice.
