I took Twitter off of the sidebar because it isn’t loading properly and is causing the page to hang. I also tried checking out the site a few minutes ago and I received a “500″ internal server error code. I hope that the Twitter folks are able to resolve their service issues.

Welcome to my life. It did that to me a lot which is why I finally took it off my page. Twitter gets over capacity a lot or simply goes down due to the sheer volume of Twitters.
Hi Dan,
Twitter is growing quickly indeed. Once it is stable, it will be a great tool to keep up to date.
Hey Dan,
One thing you could try is caching your tweets every hour or so, then showing the cached info instead of hitting Twitter. This is a good way to prevent page hangups and other avian-whale issues like blank sidebars.
Here’s a great WordPress plugin from web guru Eric Meyer that could do the job for ya: http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/wordpress/mw_latest_tweet.html
Hope to see you @ BlogIndiana in August!
Hi Shawn,
