A car – semi-truck accident has I-80 I-94 (the Borman) backed up this morning.

Reports the Northwest Indiana Times:

A fatal accident involving a passenger vehicle and a semitrailer early Thursday morning jammed traffic on Interstate 80/94 well into the morning commute.

According to Indiana State Police Cpl. Chad Woody, a passsenger car collided with a semitrailer at 4:31 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Borman Expressway just east of Cline Avenue.

While the traffic helicopter was flying near the Borman Expressway accident, the aerial reporter discovered a house and garage had caught fire in Gary.
