Football fields for outdoor stadiums are shaped like a hill in the center. This is so rain can easily drain from the field. You can’t see this topography from a TV view, but if you stood on one sideline and looked across the field to the other sideline, you’d only see people’s chests and heads. If you’ve ever been on a real college or NFL outdoor field, you’d know what this means. Football fields for outdoor stadiums are shaped like a hill in the center. Well, I’d imagine it’s for a variety of reasons. If you watch Spike TV at all, you’ve probably seen quite a few police chases that always seem to end with the driver of runaway vehicle eating gravel. And of course, there’s a commentator, whether it’s from a police helicopter or a guy for Spike TV calling that driver dangerous, erratic, stupid, drugged, careless, and a million other things. Quite frankly, I think these commentators are the ones who are criminally retarded, often times making the biggest deal about the drivers speeding through stop signs and red lights. I mean, seriously… they’re running from the cops and you expect them to just stop and wait for the light to turn green? Why don’t they slow down for yellow lights while they’re at it? (Sarcasm!)
