David Archuleta | With You
Filed Under American Idol, David Archuleta
David Archuleta hits the American Idol stage singing Chris Brown’s “With You.”
I’m going to go against conventional wisdom and say that while the young girls are going to love David Archuleta, this performance isn’t going to get high marks from the judges. I could be wrong, but it’s not doing anything for me.
Randy says he likes the idea that David Archuleta took a chance in singing something younger, but it wasn’t David Archuleta’s song because it is disconcerting to hear David Archuleta sing about his “boo.”
Paula like it as always.
Simon says “It was a little like a chihuahua trying to be a tiger.” It wasn’t David Archuleta.

i love david! much and lots!
I know that not many people would agree with me. David Archuleta isn’t a very good singer, at least not as good as David Cook. He cannot do what Cook can do. Cook is original, a risk taker, creative and he chooses difficult song to sing. Archuleta is middle-of-the-road kind of singer. When he tried hip-hp (singing “With You” by Chris Brown), he failed to deliver it. This is serious. All this while, the songs that he chose (or rather the father chose for him) are not really contemporary for present day. Cook is more relevant in today’s music industry. I’m not sure how many fans Archuleta could bring over to the real world. Voting by texting and going out to buy the album are two different kind of support. My money is on Cook.

OMG! What is freakin wrong with yall? That was a really good performance. The reason why it sounded sort of different is because we are used to the Chris Brown version of the song. However, if it was new, and David Archuleta was the one singing it, it would have been just as popular..
He was supposed to be doing it his way, not the way it was already recorded, duh.
