David Archuleta | Longer

David Archuleta is singing Dan Fogelberg‘s “Longer” and I’m flashing back to the 1970s because he’s doing a good job bringing back the memories of the good old days of when I was in elementary school and most music was listened to on the hi-fi using vinyl records.
The crowd is going crazy for David Archuleta.
Randy says “You could sing the phone book … hot, hot, hot.”
Paula says “very lovely.”
Simon says he thinks David Archuleta sang that song very well but says the song is too “gooey” and “something you choose for a 90-year-old.” But, Simon predicts David Archuleta will make it to the finals.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! My husband and I happen to be HUGE Dan Fogelberg fans and I think Dan would be proud of Archuleta’s rendition of LONGER. A great pick for little David – Simon was way off base on this one!
Simon came off like a complete jackass with his assessment of the song. It was a HUGE hit in the US (#1 on the chart) and also did quite well in his home country in 1979. Disrespectful to Dan Fogelberg, the writer/singer, a man who just died recently of cancer.
