This American Life explains why the credit crunch happened on this week’s radio show.

I listened to it this afternoon over the air and I’m glad I did.  It is well worth making a point to check it out when it becomes available as a MP3 next week.  Download it because it explains why we could be entering into a repeat of the 1970s — especially if American policy makers aren’t careful.

The Giant Pool of Money explains why everyone who touches the credit industry — almost everyone in America — is feeling the pinch as banks have tightened their lending requirements after the rise and fall of easy mortgages.
