Give David Archuleta American Idol Title Now?

I read a recent article about this year’s American Idol 7 and it mentioned the thought that many Idol observers have had ever since the show narrowed down the contestants to the Top 24: David Archuleta will be the next American Idol. David Archuleta consistently is predicted to be safe by Dial Idol.
However, having been one American Idol observer who has put my bets on several contestants who haven’t made it through the various cuts over the last couple of months — I was rooting for cuties Amy Davis, Asia’h Epperson, and Ramiele Malubay — it’s always safe to assume that we can’t always tell what will happen on American Idol. If we knew right away who would win this year’s American Idol title, it wouldn’t be any fun to watch the show, would it?
Some are taking this position by placing their hopes on Carly Smithson — she hasn’t connected with me yet — while others are wishing on the stars for crowd pleaser David Cook and beautiful but real Brooke White. I’d be happy with either David Cook or Brooke White winning.
