Barack Obama will visit South Bend’s Washington High School late Wednesday evening.
Hillary Clinton had earlier been denied a visit to the school, reports the South Bend Tribune.
Presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama will make a late-night appearance Wednesday at the same South Bend high school where his Democratic primary opponent, Sen. Hillary Clinton, was denied an appearance nearly two weeks ago.
The Illinois Democrat is expected to take to the stage around 10 p.m. Wednesday, his campaign confirmed tonight. It will be the first stop on a three-day tour of Indiana ahead of the state’s May 6 primary election. Doors open at 8 p.m.
School officials say the appearance isn’t during school hours, as Clinton’s would have been, and therefore is not a disruption to classes. Washington High School students, faculty and staff members are on spring break this week.
