Polling is out for Indiana!

Survey USA’s poll of 530 likely Indiana voters shows 52% in favor of Hillary Clinton and 43% in favor of Barack Obama with 5% saying they’re undecided or want the “other” candidate.  The margin of error for the poll taken March 29 - 31 is 4.3%.

Survey USA also polls the Indiana governor’s race with another poll of 530 likely voters showing Jim Schellinger in the lead with 41% and Jill Long Thompson with 39%.  The undecided voters will make a huge difference in the governor’s race at 20%.  The margin of error for the poll taken March 29 - 31 is 4.3%.

JLT & Schellinger square off in commercials and over fuel taxes

Jill Long Thompson is coming out with commercials for the first time, according to news reports.  Jill Long Thompson and Jim Schellinger also battle over fuel taxes.

Jim Schellinger and Gov. Mitch Daniels have already been advertising on Indiana stations.   And, Barack Obama has also purchased spots on Northwest Indiana cable channels.

      Here are my predictions for may 6

      Hillary wins Indiana 55-43 over Barack (but remember he’ll probably win No. Carolina by same) The mayors have more sway over voters and newspaper editors than the legislators who are pretty part time.

      Jill Long raises a couple thousand dollars and wins the Gubernatorial primary, 51-49, but she’s weak weak. Daniels wins in landslide in November

      Hi Steve,

      I think your predictions are on track from what I’ve seen. The Indiana governor’s race has been fairly quiet — JLT just started advertising not too long ago. I don’t know much about the two Democratic candidates running to lead Indiana because they really done much until lately.
