David Cook is doing the Beatles’ “Day Tripper” this week. Can David Cook pull it off singing Whitesnake’s version of the classic Beatles song.

David Cook seems to be doing a good job. He’s playing the guitar. He looks comfortable and sounds convincing. My wife says David Cook is “very good.” If I could add something to his performance, I’d have David Cook move around a little more on the stage because when does that, he looks like a rock star. Cool use of voice box.

Randy — “You keep it interesting. … It’s another solid look at David Cook. I love it.”

Paula — “You’re ready to go sell records. Lots of records.”

Simon — “I don’t think it was a good as you think it was. … You’ve lost your element of surprise. It was a bit predictable. I didn’t like that version.”
