A new week for American Idol sets sail and there are some changes on the set.

Ryan Seacrest shows off the new American Idol set — it’s larger and has some spectacular lighting capabilities.

The band is in their “very own penthouse,” says Seacrest.  The crowd is in their bleachers yelling and cheering.  There’s even a mosh pit, says Ryan Seacrest.  It should be interesting to see how that feature is used by the American Idol audience.

Tonight American Idol is featuring the Lennon-McCartney songbook.  It should be a great night for the singers since the songs are classic and feature all levels of difficulties.
