David Archuleta | Imagine | American Idol 7
Filed Under American Idol, David Archuleta, Ramiele Malubay
Will David Archuleta end up winning season 7 of American Idol? If his performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine” is any indication — and if he can keep up the excellent performances — he will do well.
David Archuleta sang for Kelly Clarkson when he was a little kid.
David Archuleta is in the last position, so that will be helpful in making sure that he gets a lot of votes.
He sings John Lennon’s “Imagine.” (And, does a great job. My wife says that she wants to vote for him.)
If I had to chose someone who will probably go all the way, I’d say David Archuleta has the best possibility of being the next American Idol.
Randy: “I’ve been saying all this year it is about the young ones.” “That was the best vocals that I’ve heard on this show.” “You were born to do that.” “That was brilliant.”
Paula: Paula loves David Archuleta. “One of the most moving performances I’ve ever heard.” “You’re destined for superstardom.”
Simon: “Very risky to do a John Lennon song.” “You’re the one to beat.”

The burning question being asked in the Pinoy blogosphere is whether David Archuleta is half-Filipino. There is a Yahoo Answers post that says David Archuleta is half-Pinoy and points to a GMA report, but I haven’t been able to find the report to verify. It would be interesting if Ramiele Malubay and David Archuleta make it into the Top 3.

The deception!
Will David Archuleta’s stumble while singing the Beatles’ “We Can Work It Out” sound the end of David Archuleta’s meteoric rise? Or, was it a momentary lapse that will be corrected in upcoming competitions?
All the buzz about American Idol’s Season 7 foray into the finals was about its new set — so much so that TMZ was reporting major concern on behalf of producers about it hours before Tuesday night’s show aired.
No need to worry on that front, but is there reason to worry about frontrunner David Archuleta?
The 17-year-old Utah native flubbed the words big time to “We Can Work It Out,” one of 12 songs performed tonight from the catalog of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, the greatest pop music songwriters ever.

I was flipping the dial last night and saw him sing. He was simply phenomenal. The video is posted on YouTube, I have listened to it several times this morning and highly suggest anyone that likes music listen.
Hi Jean,
I have a feeling that David Archuleta will be the next American Idol since he did such a better job singing compared to the rest last night.

Ok, I’ll admit it, I haven’t fallen in love with American Idol, or any of the singers. But man do I like the show “Dirty Jobs”
I guess I can’t comment on David Archuleta but thanks for keeping us up to date
Hi Steve,
I love American Idol — it’s the perfect show because its fans are enthusiastic to read as much information as they can get. If you could get in the Top 10 listing for Google for someone hot, you might have to make sure your hosting plan could handle the extra visitors. (I’m hoping Ramiele Malubay does well because I’m #6 for “Ramiele Malubay American Idol” on Google right now).
I’m probably going to do some Olympic blogging later on this year because that’s also another fun topic that should be a nice traffic booster.
When David first auditioned, my 15 year old daughter and I looked at each other and said “He is going to win this year!”
he’s honduran-american… not pinoy
Hi RN,
Thanks for providing some clarification about David Archuleta’s background.

What ever, Pinoy or Hunduran, David is amazing and I have two favorite idles in this season on which I’m very proud of them. GO RAMIEL MALUBAY AND DAVID ARCHULETA. I love them both…..
Hi Weng,
David Archuleta has been the standout so far this season and Ramiele Malubay has been one of my personal favorities. I hope both of them go far!
Chris,
you’re right! They (DAVID ARCHULETA AND RAMIELE MALUBAY) will make it to the finals if they did their best performances during the battle and also if they choose the right songs that will fitted their vocal range. I hope both of them soar higher in “American Idol season 7.”
