Filed Under John Dillinger, Johnny Depp, Public Enemies | 3 Comments
John Dillinger is coming back to Crown Point this spring as Johnny Depp dramatizes Dillinger’s 1934 jail escape scene from the Lake County Jail to be filmed for the upcoming move “Public Enemies” at the Old Sheriff’s House and Jail on Main Street.
Writes Molly Woulfe in the Northwest Indiana Times:
Dates for the Crown Point shoot are under wraps. But director Michael Mann has targeted the old Lake County Criminal Court, 220 S. Main St., as his headquarters during a three-day stay. Reborn the Hall of Justice Bar and Ballroom in the early 1990s, the jail’s neighbor will host up to 200 actors, crew members and technicians.

Robbie Carrico – Was He Real?

Robbie Carrico gets the American Idol axe.
Simon says that the people saw what the judges saw — Robbie Carrico wasn’t authentic. Of course, Robbie and Simon had sparred about that topic on Tuesday’s show.
Robbie Carrico for his part said that losing the vote was probably because of his song selections.
I never really got into Robbie Carrico, so I can’t say I’m sorry to see him leaving the show, but wish him lots of luck in the future.

Paula tells an overwrought Alaina Whitaker that this is the start of a great career for her after she says that she can’t sing a parting song because of her emotions.
The women of American Idol gather around Alaina Whitaker to give her support to be able to sing.
Danny Noriega and Ramiele Malubay are spotted crying as Alaina Whitaker sings Olivia Newton-John’s “Hopeless Devoted to You.”
I’m sure we’ll see more from Alaina Whitaker in the future.

She’ll do well — Alexandrea is young. Keep an eye out for her in the future.
