Sheriff Implements Good Gov Plan
Filed Under good government, police, Roy Dominguez
With all of the controversy swirling like a lake effect snow storm around a proposal to impose a new tax burden on overtaxed Lake County residents, Sheriff Roy Dominguez is working to implement recommendations from the Good Government Initiative, reports the Northwest Indiana Times’ Bill Dolan.
Sheriff Rogelio “Roy” Dominguez said at a news conference Tuesday that he asked his employees to help him to respond to the Good Government study released in February that recommended changes to improve the department’s efficiency and save tax dollars.

Lake County will have to work pretty darn hard to get out of the problems they’ve put themselves in. I can say, as a former Central Indiana resident, that the rest of Indiana is pretty sick of Lake COunty and its over-spent and fraudulent antics.

I came from Bloomington — another blue county — and remembered hearing people talking about the legendary corruption in Lake County. The perception that money sent into the county is wasted or stolen hurts everyone — especially now that Lake County residents are looking at huge tax increases.
